Policy Change

The only thing constant is change.

We continue in our endeavors to increase the effectiveness of the Naprapathic doctoral program and improve the physical premises of the college; devoting our energies to creating an environment more conducive to the learning experience.

As you know, these efforts are ongoing and are never truly finished. There is always something else we can do to improve the learning experience, and the aesthetics of the college, so here is our current plan for taking that next step.

After careful thoughtful analysis, we have decided to discontinue the Accelerated (3-year) program. The primary reason is that the three-year program has been shown to be overwhelming in a lot of cases. Also, the curriculum is becoming more challenging (good news in terms of the learning experience) and therefore more time-consuming to master. Faster is not always better.

In the student-at-large program, students takes a class here and a class there, but have no clearly defined goal as to when they are going to finish These students also become overwhelmed in many cases and do not continue the program.

We will now offer the new four-year doctoral program exclusively.

The new four-year program is designed to promote balance and focus and to create a better learning experience in the classroom, which translates to a higher success rate in practice.

Class improvements – Respecting time:

A negative time management situation in a class setting takes away the effectiveness of the knowledge being taught. Tardiness on the part of the student or the instructor decreases valuable instruction time. Everybody should challenge themselves to get here on time – especially instructors: You set the example.

We want to see an improvement in time management for all classes. We also want to see the students respect the instructors’ efforts to be punctual and do the same themselves. Please respect the following schedule guidelines:

  • CLASSES RUN FROM 6:00 PM TO 9:00 PM (No early finishes) Break – 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM for all classes.

  • TABLE TIME FROM 9:00 PM TO 9:30 PM IN THE CLINIC FOR ALL CLASSES (Attendance is mandatory)

  • ALL STUDENTS MUST PLAN TO BE HERE 6:00 PM TO 9:30 PM FOR ALL CLASSES

  • Note: you will not be allowed to take any more classes than are offered in the current semester and year you are attending.

OUR GOAL IS TO SUCCESSFULLY TEACH YOU NAPRAPATHIC MEDICINE SO YOU CAN BE SUCCESSFUL IN PRACTICE.

Sincerely,

The Board of Directors of the National College of Naprapathic Medicine
